Cannes in celebration for the new year 2020
Retrospective of December in Cannes
The ILTM congress in Cannes
The last congress of the year, the ILTM (International Luxury Travel Market), namely the World Luxury Travel Event, took place from 2 to 5 December 2019 at the Palais des Festivals in Cannes. Bringing together no less than 5,000 people, this famous congress attracts every year more and more exhibitors and buyers from all over the world.
The aim of the ILTM congress in Cannes is to present buyers with an unparalleled collection of international travel experiences. A clear observation was made at the end of the congress, that more and more travellers are seeking to balance their personal development. Thus, the theme of ILTM has imposed itself and will therefore be "conscious luxury".
See you at ILTM 2020 from December 7 to 10, 2020.
The Christmas Holidays in Cannes
As every year, the Christmas Holidays have given rhythm to the city of Cannes with a program rich in animations and surprises:
from the Christmas Village on the Allées de la Liberté composed of about fifty chalets, to the ice rink and Santa Claus' house,
with also the setting up of many animations: workshops for children, the Christmas fair on La Pantiero, animations on rue d'Antibes, Christmas cribs here and there, to finish with the wonderful New Year's fireworks.
Everyone found something to enjoy, have fun and dream during this enchanted interlude.
Cannes focuses on new projects in 2020
Harmonization of the Cannes Croisette
In March 2020, work will be completed to embellish and harmonize the appearance of the private establishments on the beaches of Cannes between the beaches of the Gull and the Carlton. Indeed, the Cannes City Council has imposed on their new operators very qualitative specifications, including much more aesthetic wooden roofs, creative architectural projects and equipment for events offering innovative and beautiful beaches.
Cineum, Cannes doubles its cinema offer May 2020
Highly anticipated, the inauguration of the Cannes Cineum is announced for May 2020. On its 9,000 square meters, the Cineum de Cannes will offer a catering area, an immersive gallery animated by scenography, an exhibition area to discover the behind-the-scenes of the films presented and, above all, rooms equipped with the latest technology guaranteeing the best image quality. We strongly advise you to come and discover this building designed by the architect Rudy Ricciotti, author of strong cultural achievements, such as the Museum of European and Mediterranean Civilizations (MUCEM) in Marseille.
Beautification and modernization of Port Canto, summer 2020
This summer, you will appreciate the developments realized at the Port Canto of Cannes, a lovely walk in a "garden" spirit to arrive on a beautiful central square called "Espace grand large" which will enliven the port and create an opening on the Croisette and the adjoining gardens. The future development will also include a relaxation area with a dry fountain, vegetation and the installation of shade canvases.
