MIPIM celebrates its 30th anniversary from 12 to 15 March 2019 at the Palais des Festivals
Engaging the future, MIPIM 2019 under the prism of sustainable development.
Facing societal and environmental challenges, accompanying change with new technologies, will be the two major axes of the 30th edition of MIPIM.
Ronan Vaspart, Director of MIPIM explains:
"Real estate is making its "revolution" 4.0 like many other economic sectors, a revolution inherent in several factors: demographics, climate, technology, economy. MIPIM 2019 will provide food for thought to address the challenges of sustainable responsibility and give an insight into the future of real estate in a rapidly changing world.
This year, Ban Ki-moon, former Secretary General of the United Nations, will be speaking at the opening of the exhibition on Tuesday 12 March at 14:00.
He will present his vision of the challenges of the next thirty years and will particularly develop the themes related to climate change and global economic upheavals.
Generation Y will be honoured with the Young Leaders Summit
The millennials generation is maturing. Users yesterday, they become decision-makers today.
This year, MIPIM is launching the first Young Leaders Summit.
This generation is challenging the codes of the sector and inventing new concepts and new uses. Examples include third places halfway between work and leisure, the economy of sharing and the evolution of technologies and networks.
The real estate market must adapt its products and services to these new lifestyles and consumption patterns.
Within cities and metropolitan areas, this generation aspires to more sustainable and participatory methods of governance. A consultation on the Sustainable Democracy Initiative will be presented from the beginning of MIPIM.
MIPIM: the figures of a major event for real estate professionals
Organized by Reed MIDEM, MIPIM is in insolent health. This 30th edition already promises to be a great success.
