During summer in Cannes, there is something for all tastes, all sensibilities, all audiences. A program with a variety of cultural universes: concerts, exhibitions and events, jazz and classical festivals, as well as the largest beach party of electronic music in France. The cultural season in Cannes on the concert side

You will appreciate the diversity of the performances planned as part of the Cannes cultural season! Indeed, two pop/rock concerts are scheduled on the Terrace of the Palais des Festivals in Cannes: Jain (July 12) and Franz Ferdinand (August 22). In another style, the 14th edition of Les Plages Électroniques will take place from August 9 to 11 and promises many more surprises with over 50 artists. As for classical music, the Nuits Musicales du Suquet offer a series of performances on July 18, 19, 22 and 23. And to please everyone, jazz lovers will gather on August 2, 3, 5 and 6 in the gardens of the sublime Villa Domergue for a series of concerts.

 

The cultural season in Cannes on the entertainment side

Organizer of the largest pyrotechnic festival in Europe, Cannes will host this year 6 pyrotechnicians.This will be their first participation. Cannes Bay will be set ablaze with a thousand fires on July 14, 21 and 29 and August 7, 15 and 24.

In addition, visitors to Cannes this summer will have the opportunity to attend an exceptional gala honouring the great Maya Plissetskaya. On 29 June, the event will bring together some fifteen stars from the biggest international stages at the Palais des Festivals.

 

The cultural season in Cannes on the exhibition side

The City of Cannes offers you 6 wonderful events, as varied as they are attractive: from July 11 to August 25, the exhibition "Il était une fois Sergio Leone", on July 31 at the Debussy Theatre: a photo exhibition around the highlights of the Cannes Film Festival and from June 16 to October 27 at the Musée de la Mer, an exhibition on "Man in an Iron Mask". In addition, from July 6 to November 3, the Malmaison Art Center and Villa Domergue will exhibit the works of Niki de Saint-Phalle, from June 14 to November 3, photographer Wylda Bayrón will share the highlights of her epic journey in New Guinea and finally, from April 5 to August 31, Cannes will offer "Cannes fait le mur" in partnership with Paris Match, namely 18 portraits to be found in the city.

And the icing on the cake is still "the celebration for all" in Cannes, or more commonly called the "ball of fools"! One of last summer's great successes. 8 dates are scheduled for July 7, 14, 21, 28, 4, 18, 15 August and 1 September, offering a totally offbeat experience in a magical setting.
